Laura Cooley
ADMINISTRATIVE COORDINATOR
Laura grew up in the “Bible Belt” of South Mississippi and fell in love with Jesus as a young child. She is lesbian and currently resides in NYC, but visits her family (and cats) in MS often.
Laura moved to NYC to pursue acting, but was led by the Lord to utilize her unique administrative skills in ministry: first at Trinity Baptist Church, then with Young Life NYC, and finally Revoice. However, she still enjoys acting and filming on weekends. Laura feels the Lord prepared her way to NYC, allowing her to pursue her creative passions while also granting her meaningful ministry roles. She also volunteers with the “I’m not a Victim” foundation to raise awareness to support those who have fallen victim to human trafficking. Joining the Revoice staff unites Laura’s passions for administration, creativity, and care for the SSA/LGBTQ+ Christian community.
Laura holds a master’s degree in Educational Psychology from Mississippi State University, where served as an adjunct instructor before becoming a special education teacher and department head at Wayne County High School.
Laura is excited to share the news of Jesus with the unique tools Revoice has to offer, feeling strongly called to show the SSA/LGBTQ+ community that we are loved by Christians and Jesus alike. Laura gives all praise to the Lord for being our Good Father and looks forward to this year’s conference!
