THE OPPORTUNITY
Revoice is seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Development to lead our fundraising efforts, expand donor relationships, and contribute to the continued growth and impact of our organization. This is an exciting opportunity to join a passionate team dedicated to our unique and vital mission of extending God’s care to sexual minorities in our nation and around the world. The Director of Development will play a critical role in shaping the financial future of Revoice by raising funds for key missional initiatives, building sustainable revenue streams, and fostering a culture of Christian stewardship and generosity that engages our community and our stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Fundraising and Planning | Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy to meet organizational goals, including annual giving, special and seasonal campaigns, major gifts, planned giving, and grant writing. Research and identify a strong pipeline of new funding sources and opportunities.
Donor Engagement and Relationship Building | Cultivate and steward relationships with individuals, churches, and foundation donors to build lasting partnerships and ensure donor satisfaction and retention.
Leadership and Team Management | Recruit, lead, and mentor the development team (staff, board, volunteers), ensuring clear goals and high performance standards.
Creative and Consistent Communication | Collaborate with the marketing team to craft effective fundraising communications and materials, including the organization’s Case for Support. Creatively communicate specific success stories and testimonials of donor impact.
Internal Training and Resourcing | Provide training and design effective internal systems/materials to support the flourishing of Revoice’s support-raising staff.
Event Planning and Execution | Oversee the planning and execution of fundraising events, including donor appreciation events and community engagement activities.
Data Management and Reporting | Utilize CRM software to input and track donor interactions, analyze fundraising data, and generate reports that support decision-making. Ensure accuracy, confidentiality, and ethical management of donor information. Set and pursue fundraising metrics. Produce annual report in conjunction with the team.
Board and Volunteer Collaboration | Work closely with the Board of Directors, guiding fundraising strategies and involving them in donor engagement efforts. Provide regular reports and recommendations on fundraising performance. Manage and support volunteer committees involved in fundraising activities.
Conference and Program Support | Collaborate closely with the Conference Team to develop innovative fundraising and donor engagement strategies at our annual conference, both in person and virtually.
Fundraising Administration | Propose and implement fundraising policies, procedures, tools, and general infrastructure.

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
The ideal candidate will:
Concur with our statement of faith and standards of sexual obedience, and uphold our commitment to historic, Christian doctrines of marriage and sexuality with discernment and grace.
Strategic and innovative fundraiser with at least five years of experience and a proven track record of success in nonprofit development.
Natural relationship-builder with a deep commitment to Revoice’s mission and an ability to inspire others to support our cause.
Analytical approach to fundraising and comfortable with data-driven decision-making.
Experience with CRM systems, event management, and major gift solicitation.
Highly self-motivated and able to work independently, with a strong focus on detail and accuracy, requiring little follow-up.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, think, and act in a fast-paced environment with overlapping deadlines.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective internal and external correspondence.
Show a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion.
Demonstrated understanding of the unique needs of LGBTQ+/SSA and ethnic minority communities.
Willing to travel to support fundraising and relationship-building efforts.
The position will require the ability to drive.
